    Hi-Powers, FN & Browning

    Hi All,
Checking in from Texas. Looks like the forum is off to a roaring start.
I hope new forum topics are created for FN and Browning Hi-powers, maybe even the FN revolver (Barracuda), and the FNH USA FiveSeven.
I'm thinking of getting a FiveSeven, and would like to hear what owners think of them before I buy.

Dallas Charlie. I am rich in some ways, but not financially. Great wife, good kids, and cute grand kids. Now if I were Bill Gates rich, I'd give each member the gun of his or her dreams for Christmas. Seems every time I wanted a new gun something took priority. Car broke down, new roof needed, kids college tuition, etc. Did manage to get one about every 10 years. High Standard HD Military model 22, surplus Army Ithaca 1911 45, FEG-PJK Hi-Power clone, Taurus CH85, Ruger GP-100, FN Herstal Hi-Power, and the last a FN Barracuda 357 mag. The Hi-Standard 22 was hocked for cash, the 1911 was stolen in a burglary, and I sold the Ruger GP-100. I really don't need another gun but you know how that is. The FN Five-Seven is interesting, but I want to hear more about it from owners before I bought one.

I moved up to Dallas from College Station in 2003 for 8 months. Missed it down here too much, though, and came back. Traffic was killer.

Can someone please tell me how much is the price for FN Five-Seven. Is it worth of buying if you compare with the Desert Eagle .50? How much difference between this 2 guns?

How about the 9mm handgun, what do you prefered to carry CCW the most, to own the most and Why?

Can you pls tell me what do you think of SIG Pro 2009..? And if I wanted to have a SIG, which model do you prefered the most? How about the P226 and P229?

Which HK handguns do you prefer the most in 9mm? And Why?
(Can someone pls share your thoughts of which compact size HK model do you think is the Best of all.....the accuracy, reliable, durable, ect...?

This might sound stupid.....But I always wonder can HK USPc or HK P2000, or HK mark23, plus SIG 226, 239, and Beretta 92fs be able to shoot in the water.... let's say in the Lake and in the Salt Water Sea.?

Just wondering about this.... and I always wanted to know before I started to use one of my Beretta 92fs 9mm?

I would very much appreciated your thoughts and shares of ideas. Thank you very much.

Whoa........Lots of questions. You might want to re-post over in the General Semi-Auto 'cause there are more folks over there with lots of knowledge about these guns, calibers, and capabilities. Probably more people checking that area. By the way, WELCOME. What part of Asia?

Too many questions at 1 time :P - And yes, it may be better if you started your own thread - no one may see it here.

Just real briefly, many guns can shoot underwater - but doing so is a very stupid idea. Unless the barrel is COMPLETELY filled w/ water w/ NO air bubbles, you can blow your barrel. Plus, it is very dangerous and can cause permanent hearing damage if your head is underwater too.

The Five-Seven is around $850, give or take a few dollars. The Desert Eagle will be over $1000. The two guns are totally different. The Fiveseven is a small round. Fast, but kind of equal to a 22 magnum. The Desert Eagle shoots larger rounds. In my opinion, neither is that great for carry. I'd take a Five Seven before I'd take a Desert Eagle, though. I think they (Desert Eagles) are too big. It is a good movie gun - not really that practical, however.

All I have time for now... Maybe if you repost your questions, you'll gets ome other anwers

    Welcome.
