Midi-chlorians (also spelled "midi-clorians" or "midichlorians") are a microorganism in the fictional Star Wars galaxy... They are microscopic life-forms that reside within the cells of all living things and communicate with the Force.

A decision is to be made...

    Hi Guys:

I am about to make a decision between the CZ 75 BD and the SIG P226.

If you want both guns and can afford to buy both then do it. If you cannot afford to buy both and you feel the CZ performs the same as the SIG, why spend $850 as opposed to $440?

You are absolutely right unpecador, that's what logic dictates...And that's what my brain is telling me to do..For the difference in price, I can buy a safe for about $100, some ammo to practice and so on...BUt my heart is telling me another story..But definitely you are absolutely right...I should buy the CZ75 BD and own a gun first..Then practice practice practice, and If I still have the urge to buy the SIG, then I have to save for it to get it..And may be after buying the CZ 75 BD I will commit to one gun and my next purchase will be a compact.

I hate it when my heart gets in the way of logic.

I'm sure you would be satisfied with either gun. I own a CZ P-01 and I am satisfied with mine. My brother owns a SIG SP2022 and he is satisfied with his.

You should buy a safe regardless of which gun you choose, that should be a priority.

Hi unpecador, thanks for the encouragement..How does the CZ 75 P01 shoots, does it have the same accuracy as the 75 BD and what is the accuracy at 15 yrds. I heard that the longer the barrel the better the site radius..Does it really make that difference.

I am convinced to get the CZ 75 ...Now I have to try which CZ I like the best (again in terms of accuracy):

    1. The CZ 75 BD
    2. CZ 75 SP 01 Tactical or
    3. The CZ 75 P01 this pistol is NATO certified, you should see guys the NATO certification spec..It is like testing a 4x4 Truck.... check the NATO certification test: http://www.cz-usa.com/media_releases.php?m=4&msgid=373.

Oh boy..choices choices and choiiicesssss ...Tomorrow I will go to the range and decide on one of these babes..I hope they have the P01 in their rental..Today I saw the SP01 in their rental collection, but didn't think that I will have to choose among the CZ's.

The only problem is that I live in one county and I work in another..And the Michigan law is that you have to apply for a purchase permit where you live..That means I have to take time off from work to apply at the local police station where I live, and my work schedule is full for next week..I probably won't be able to get the permit till 2 weeks from now..I think I can wait (or convince myself to wait). The most difficult task is almost over, and I have chosen a CZ 75, I just have to pin point it down to which 75 model..

Thanks for all the support guys..It really helped me in many ways..

My P-01 shoots great and it has been extremely reliable which is why I'm satisfied with it. I have never fired a CZ 75 BD so I can't really answer that question but I believe accuracy comes from the shooter and not the gun. I think a longer barrel may make a difference depending on the shooter but I think with enough practice, I can learn to shoot just about any gun as accurate as I want. Honestly I don't remember the last time I shot my P-01 at 15 yards, I usually practice within 7 yards mainly because I practice for home defense.

    Purchase Announcement

    HI ALL:

Today, I took the afternoon off from work...Went to my local Police Department obtained the purchase permit and from there to the GUN shop right away..I have been saving for quite some time, and here was my purchase:

    1. CZ 75 SP01 TActical (9mm)
    2. The .22 Cal Kadet converter Kit
    3. CZ 75 D PCR compact (9mm)
    4. Cleaning Kit

I shot 100 rds in the C75 compact and 100 rds 0.22 cal in the SP01 w/conversion kit. I was extremely satisfied..I have yet to shoot in the SP01 w/ 9mm..Yoohooo...!! Finally I had not one gun, but two (actually with the conversion kit it is almost as three guns)...
