Hello from the Upstate of South Carolina!

    123
I'm a new handgun owner. I bought a S&W MP40c yeaterday and signed up for a local beginner class. I am excited about learning to shoot handguns. I have shot a lot of rifle and shotgun but never a handgun. I plan on getting my Carry Permit soon and want to take as much defensive training as I can. I love to play golf and that is my main hobby but I need something to do besides that. I have always loved guns and decided to try this. I hope to learn a lot from this forum as I know I will.

What part of Montana? I grew up in SD and was living in ND before moving to SC. Sounds like you all have had a real winter this year.

Welcome from Gaston! It's good to hear you signed up for your cwp already. SC takes every one of the 90 days to get you your permit.

Thank you all for the welcome!!! Great to see so many from the area. I'm not taking my CWP quite yet. I am taking a Handguns 101 class tonight. I want to get very familiar with my M&P before I will carry it. After a couple of months of practice and handling it I will take my CWP(probably at Allen Arms).

Billings area. Actually has not been too bad with the exception of two weeks right before Christmas. The two weeks prior to Xmas were miserable!! High winds, negative temps (without wind chill) and snow. It has been relatively mild since then. Seems like most of the really cold has been hitting the Glendive area and east into the midwest and eastern seaboard.

We love it here. We're a harrrdy people.
