Welcome!
Hello!
I'm very green also, and will probably be asking many questions. My limited experience is a safety class in which we shot many revolvers and semi-autos, renting at the range, and plunking my money down for a 9mm Sig p239 SAS Gen I. I am currently suffering through the mandatory waiting period, since my newly-applied-for concealed pistol license has not yet arrived. I'll be able to pick up the gun at the end of this very long week.
Looking forward to bugging you![]()

I didn't realize Washington State required a License to Purchase.
If you don't mind please fill us in with a line or two about the path you must take to own a pistol there.

You don't have to have a CPL to purchase a weapon, but you don't have to go through the five day "cooling off" period if you already have a license. The five day period is really ten, because the wait starts from the day the State gets the paperwork. The gun shop has to allow three days for postal lag, and weekends don't count.
