    Just another new guy.

    Whats up, I'm Andrew, new guy from Illinois. Turning 21 in about two weeks and I will be purchasing my first firearm.

    I'm more or less dead set on the XDm in .40sw, bitone.

    From there, I'll need to save some more money and I'd like to maybe snag a Sig 1911 Plat. Elite Carry.

    Others on my list include a Ruger Service Six, Rem. 870 Tactical and some sort of AR.

    Those will be down the line though when I can afford a GOOD gun safe.

    Anyways, look forward to checking this place out.

    thanks! the XDm and Sig are prolly my two top priorities. because they are easier to hid amongst the house until i get a safe. but after unloading around 750 for the xdm and range time, it will be a bit before i have another grand for the 1911.

    I'm not sure about the hiding thing,especially if there are little ones around,my second purchase after the two handguns was a Secure Vault Model 33018 Handgun Safe (about $100) to keep them out of the wrong hands.Cheap insurance to keep everyone safe.

    no little kids. im only 20, so i live with my parents when im not in my own house down at college. but i share a room with my 18 year old brother. and there is a 14 year old and 19 year old that live upstairs (step-sisters), but they never come into our room.

    So I'll most likely hid them in their cases up in the drop ceiling, unloaded with the lock on them so they cant be fired.

    I'm planning to be a cop, sending in my application to the county sheriffs soon, and i live with a 22 year veteran detective, who has his guns, including department issue Assault rifle, for home protection. So readily accessible isnt anything im super concerned with at this point
