    Greetings from Georgia

    Hello all,
    New to the forum, new to handguns. Ive wanted one for a long time and am finally serious about getting one. Should be a proud new owner by next weekend. Ive basically got it narrowed down to a .357 , and am considering a Taurus 66 or 65. Anyone have any thoughts on the 6 rd vs. 7 rd other than the obvious? Haven't completely ruled out a Ruger, but budget wise, i'm leaning towards the taurus to learn on, then maybe get something nicer later on. Main purpose is personal protection in the home, I do not plan to get a concleaded license at this time, but am considering going to the range. Would be interested in hearing anyone's thoughts on those two guns. Looking forward to purchasing my first gun and being a part of this forum!

    Take a look at the Ruger GP100 for the little extra cash you get a lot more gun IMO.Welcome to the forum
