Beretta extends their warranty to 3 years if U send in the registration card, if I remember correctly. Different gun companies offer different warranties. It would be nice if they did lifetime warranty like S&W, HK and Springfield does. But, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Beretta makes good guns. And while U may potentially have an issue, just like with any manufacturer, it will more than likely occur in the first 1000 rounds or so if there is a problem.
If U want that new Beretta, though, you will have to wait until later in 2006 for the release.
