    Hello to all from MI

I just stop in to say hello. I'm undecided on whether i'm going to get my ccw or not. I thought I would do a little research to help me make a sound decision. Some friends of mine are taking classes for their permit this month and they have reserved a spot for me.

I use to shoot alot about 17 yrs ago but not recently. I need to spend sometime at the range and try a few new semi-auto. I have a friend selling a S&W and a Glock, but my brother said I should stay away from both guns.

    Welcome to the board.
Take the class. Having the permit doesnt require you carry a gun. I gives you the option.

My lawyer here in Florida says everybody should get a CWP even if you just carry a small pocket knife.

Greetings and welcome. Another vote for taking the class - training is good - and getting the permit.

Not sure what S&W your buddy is selling. Some are better than others. All Glocks in good condition are sound, well-designed pistols.

Hello back at ya also from Michigan. I got my CPL about a year ago.I say go for it, because it makes it easier to purchase handguns (no permit required) and also a lot easier to transport pistols.Carry if you want.

My brother work on police cars for the DPD and he said they had officers shooting themselves and their partners with the glock. I've never heard of this before he informed me of this. I'm not familiar with this gun but he stated it had to do with the way the trigger is made.

I've decide to get my permit and I will decide what i'm going to after that.

    Welcome from Northern Arizona

You made the correct choice in getting the permit.

Try not to be like those LEO's that shoot themselves.
