what 22LR pistol should I buy?

I do not own a reasonable 22LR pistol - I only have a NAA 22 for collectors purposes.

1- can members please recommend 3 handguns and why - pistols or revolvers

2- what are opinions on conversion kits for a pistol?

    input will be greatly appreciated.

Ruger Mark III or P22/45. The Mark III shoots excellent (I have a Mark I) The P22/45 has a grip setup like a GI 45 so it comes down to preference.
Browning Buckmark is also a quality/good shooting pistol(I have one)

I have a Ruger Single Six. It is a single action revolver that comes with two cylinders, one for 22 RF and another for 22 WRM. It is safe, accurate and an excellent walking in the woods or fishing carry piece. Like all Rugers they are built to last longer than one lifetime.

i don't care much about conversion kits for myself. if I'm going to spend that much money, i feel i should just spend a little more and get another whole gun.

Three is hard to do, but I'll try to keep it short.
Any of the Rugers will do a great job as a general plinking/woods gun. They will also hold their own on paper.

The Buckmarks are just all around fun. Mine is a little bit picky with the ammo, though.

The Sig Sauer Trailside is a nice .22 I believe it has the Hammerli trigger group in it. One of my buddies has one, and it has an awesome trigger on it. Very easy to shoot well.

Smith&Wesson have some nice choices...617, 22A, 41, I've shot them all and own a mod.41. All have done well.

Beretta makes some nice .22's also.
I know that's more than three, but I hope it helps you in your research.
