    G26 or XD subcompact

I'm going to be buying a gun for concealed carry and i have narrowed it down to the G26 and 3" XD. I have shot the G19 and the 4" XD and like them both. but have not had the chance to shoot the 26 or 3" XD. can't find one to rent.

I'm kinda partial to the 10mm so i thought about getting a G29. I have a G20 and really like the gun but was looking into getting a 9mm. will be cheaper to shoot.

What do you guys think about the G26, G19, and G29 vs. a 3" XD?

I like how the XD fits my hand. Much more comfortable to me than the G26/27. My XD45 has never let me down

I think the Glock 29 is rather thick for CCW, and also recoils very hard for self-defense. I'd pass on that.

I prefer the Glock to the XD in any format. The Glock has a much lower bore axis and shorter/firmer trigger reset. These things make it easier for me to shoot fast and well in defensive-type (read: really fast) firing.

The Glock fits me like a brick. Me, I'd pick the XDSC over ANY Block.

Me too. The Glock has an angle that's awkward to me. The XD points more naturally. Plus, I like the idea of having the grip safety engaged when I holster. I always make sure nothing can get caught in the trigger area but still.

i would have to go with the glock. for some crazy reason the glock feels better in my hand and they shoot very well for me 25yards and it. i just got me a G23C for CC and i love it i can shoot 3inch groups at 20 yards plenty good for me for ccw.

I've been looking for an XD sub compact and I can't find one anywhere. Plenty of Glocks and S&W M&Ps tho. I may pick up a S&W M&P compact to give it a shot.

I gave up my G26 for a XD 9 compact. What I like about the xd is the 16 round magazine. When it was hot I wore it IWB w/small mag and when I carried on the hip I used larger mag. I did but my glock sights on my XD.
On the left is a XD 40 Compact that I sold Mr. Propellerhead and my xd9 c with glock sights.

The Glock 26 will accept mags from the larger Glocks.

I know that mike use to carry a 33 round mag but I like the way the larger mag acts on the xd more like a grip than an extended mag. I wonder why glock or a third party doesn't come up with a slip on for the 17 round mag similar to the XD so you feel like you have an extended grip. I think that would sell fast.
What I miss with the G26 is the finger groves. I sure I'll get another one just talking about it makes me miss it. I still have a generation one G17 and a Gen. three G21C.

    Like this, you mean? http://glockstore.com/pgroup_descrip...gory_id%3D3%26

These have been around for years. Where do you think Springfield stole the idea?
