Any Steyr fans? Austria's OTHER pistol

I hang out at Steyrclub, but haven't seen much love around here.
Somebody has got to like them, because the M357 is impossible to find!
I've got an M9-A1 that I'm pretty happy with.

I think they're cool looking pistols, and if I can find one at a show might have to get it in M40-A1, especially since they're so cheap now. I really like the trap sights.

Although, I am not particularly excited that they went bankrupt and have heard of relability issues. Seems like they are hit or miss; either you get a great one or a lemon. Any thoughts on this?

      I have the A1, and haven't had a problem.
Their customer service is great too. I called them asking for a replacement part, and they had it to me in 3 days.
I think most of the problems were fixed with the A1 model release.

      steyr

I have seen one at a gunshop locally, I liked the way it looked and felt, but I would like get it in .40 instead. I will be buying a Steyr Scout soon...

Well, I saw one at a show this past weekend but flaked out because I have bought two guns in the past week and couldn't get another.

It was the 40 cal - which is the one I would get - and they were asking $430. I thought the price was kind of high, but who knows. Maybe if there's one at the next one I will get it; by then the finances will have recovered.

I am kind of regretting it now; wish I would have gotten it.

Hopefully I find another some time.
