I have had the S&W .40ve for about 2 years now and it took some getting use to. It still has about a long 8lb pull on the trigger. I like it OK now but at first I was about ready to throw it in the river. Good luck with yours.
Anything wrong with this gun? I see most people are talking about the M&P's and this is alot cheaper than the 9mm's I have been looking at.
Thanks

I looked at one, then looked at the M&P. The choice was easy, bought the M&P for $140 more. The trigger on the Sigma was awful.
Theres a place here that has the M&P 9mm for like $480 new, I know the MSRP is $640. What do you think is the deal, I hear alot of good talk about this gun so why would it be so cheap? I also read the threads where guys have referred to the "issues" that havent been worked out since these are new like rust, mags dropping out, slides moving etc. what do you think ? Thanks
Some of the early M&P's had the mag drop problem. I believe it was mostly the compacts, but I could be wrong. The mag catch was re-designed. I've never heard anything about a slide problem, and a properly maintained M&P won't rust any more than any other stainless weapon. I've had mine (full size 9mm) for several months and ~1500 rounds. I've had ZERO problems. 99% of M&P owners will say the same.
I've not used a Sigma, but I can summarize the numerous posts I've read about this weapon. It seems like they are reliable pistols with good ergonomics, but a very heavy trigger pull. I guess if you've not used a pistol with a good trigger pull, then you won't know any better....
BTW, Bud's Gun Shop (they have a web site) has M&P's for $439 w/free shipping....

Thanks guys. Yeah I wouldn't know the diff but heck if the M&p's are only $439 and so much better.
