You can use which ever one you like as long as you clean your gun on a regular bases. I use a couple of drops of Gun Butter and just a touch of grease in certian spots. Just don't over do it. More is not better in this case. Good luck.
i don't use a lot, but have been told sigs use more oil than most. at least on the rails, which is the area i mainly ment. i have been putting stainless steel slide grease and a little oil on my sig rails.
I use a synthetic grease on mine instead of oil. My reasoning is that my frame is alloy and the grease has a higher viscosity to prevent galling and premature wear. Steel frames may not "need" the grease but the alloys do.
Buy the syringe and a small stiff paintbrush for applying it in those hard to get to places. Peace of mind.
Oil, grease, don't matter all that much to me. In my manual it does say that you have to put grease in certain parts of the gun but I have been using oils and haven't had a problem with mine but I clean my guns once a month or after each shoot at the range. Use what you like, just make sure your guns are running smooth.
