The New (to me) Colt Combat Commander has 300+ rds with no jam. Dont ask for the round count prior to this number. I am considering this a break in as the previous owner had shot less than 200 rounds.
As Expected the 19 has had no jams either.
Shootin again this weekend, fingers crossed (gun lubed).
Hey Old Padawan are you really thinking it's going to give up the ghost on ya? As long as your running some half way decent ammo through it, it should run fine for years. It will go through a few recoil springs in that time if you shoot a lot and use good mags. Clean,oil,and lube is about all you should have to do. Good luck with it.
Make sure you shoot it fast and get it very hot. If anything will make a gun puke, it's running hot. Are you shooting ball or JHP? Just because it runs with ball doesn't mean it will work with JHP.Quote:

Baldy, I am not to worried about it giving up the ghost, I am just trying to get it to run without a malfunction. I had a horror story with a Kimber that just wouldnt work. Kimber was great about trying to fix it, I just gave up. I switched to Glock for a year or so and gave up on them. I just couldnt find my groove with them. I didnt like the way they carried, handled or shot.
I keep mentioning the S&W 19 just as a lark. The revolver is running jam free (lol). I am working on the reload.

Try the Safarilands. HKS certainly work. No matter which speedloaders you go for you'll need to practice and get used to them.
