Did you hit the Lottery or something?

Some have given me a hard time about hiding the guns I buy from my wife. She went down to Houston, Texas for the day to visit a friend. They went shopping for just a half day. She got home around ten that night. I unloaded the SUV and put it all on the bed. It was OK because she bought all of it at the outlet stores saving lots of money.
I checked the CC's on line and I could have bought 10 1911's with what she spent.

And this is what you call "saving"?
If she saved doing that, you need at least a couple 1911s so you can show her how much you also save!
And I thought my credit cards needed watching...![]()
Oh... my... God. And to think, when I have customers who tell me their wives told them to sell their guns because they need money, I'm probably the only female to say, "When's she selling her shoes?"
I don't get to mad the sex is great on those nights.
This is exactly why I will soon be single again.
Spacedoggy, you crack me up!
PS. The SA XD40 subcompact you sold me is doing great! I've been carrying it and used it at an IDPA match tonight. Love it!
You better be having sex more than just the nights she comes home from shopping.![]()
So you and your wife express hidden resentment/hostility for each other by going out and buying expensive things. Buying presents for oneself is a common response to feeling unappreciated.
I guess that's your business. But, since you posted it on a public forum, you may be looking for validation of your secret concern that maybe there is a problem here. If so, then consider spending money on some marriage counseling instead of on guns. Being married is damn hard work, and needs practice and maintenance just like shooting does.
But, if you think I am full of it, just ignore this. It's your money; it's your marriage.
I don't think your full of it, you just crack me up.
In our living area I had a Little Henry 22 level action hanging up on the wall. I went out and bought a real nice Puma 44mag level action with an Octagon bull barrel with a Blued/Case Colored finish. My son asked where should we hide it and I told him to hang it up and put the Henry in the safe. Every once in awhile she looks at it for over a minute and said that it looks different. Our response has alway been, it been hanging there for ever. It's hard not to laugh when she does that. Do you know any good head Doctor in NE Texas?
I pulled that once in reverse. Actually, come to think of it, I did three times. But the first time was funnier. I bought my Sig when I was working for my first armored company and convinced my dad (the anti-handgun man) that the gun was company issue. When I switched to another armored company, the Sig was again a "company issue." He looked at the gun closely both times. When I switched, he even told me what was different about this gun from the gun at the first company, not realizing it was exactly the same gun. And my mom and I are trying so hard not to laugh that we were both just about turning blue.
I have found that my wife only spots the stainless guns that I buy.
I could bring home 5 blued and 1 stainless, and the only one she spots is the shiney one.
All blued from now on.

"But they were on sale!" How many times have I heard that. Maybe I should try that with a new Kimber. ummmm... got me's a thinkin'.
