value
spacedoggy was talkin about gun money,an got me to thinking.[well trying to anyway]
i always just tried to just get what ever money, i had allowed in the trade,
for them as i was into other things an didnt know the value of guns.
if id kept them ,they all would have held their value against the dollar,well..
is this true of most pistols ,or are their some that hold their value per dollar spent better. thanks

All your major brands of steel revolver and some lines of automatics hold their value real well. Others kind of tank when you walk out the door with them. Go to some of these sites that are mostly collectors and you will see what I mean. Old guns that I use to give a hundred or two for are selling are selling for $500 or more. Good luck.

thanks. sounds like something that i ought to take it slow an easy on.
since most sellers know more about values than myself ..
I got a chance at a 243 new englander scoped an ready
for 210... if it shoots true ,is that about right... any opinions appreciated.

Keep your eyes on the milsurp market too. SKS's have been going up and their supply is drying up. I need to hurry and secure a Yugo before I miss out. Pre-lock S&W's are going up and Colts already have. You have to keep in mind what is no longer in production(and never will be again:smt022 ) because their supply dries up. I imagine the C&R pistols like the Walther P1 will go through something similar. I know Makarovs(the true ones, not those Polish or Hungarian pistols) already have.
Buy what's cheap now because it's not going to be that way forever.

Best study the market for what you want and be ready to grab it if it comes up. These old guns are going through the roof. Good luck.
