bad ammo? new SC does not perform.

first of all, i have only ever used WWB in my XD. i picked up my brand new 9mm SC today and purchased whatever the gun store's cheapest target ammo was (they did not have WWB). it happened to be wolf.
i headed off to the range to try out my new SC and i took my .40 tac too. had the wolf for the 9mm and WWB for my tac. the tac performed absolutely flawlessly, without question, like always. the SC however was a nightmare. i had 3 stovepipe jams and 3 failure to feeds (i think that's what it's called, the round looked like it was trying to go in crooked). i managed to get maybe 75 rounds thru it and i was so frustrated i threw the other 25 rounds away.
i took the SC apart at the range to see if i could tell if anything was wrong (even being the novice i am) and it looked like pieces of dirt and/or sawdust inside and looked VERY dirty for only having 75 rounds thru it.

-has anyone had this happen with wolf ammo?
-what was the residue i saw inside? (never seen it in my other XD)
-any chance it could be my new SC itself?
-i definately don't think i was "limp-wristing" it.

Clean it good and try different ammo. I personally will not shoot wolf. It isn't even allowed on one of the ranges I go to. It is very dirty ammo and some guns just don't like the steel casings. If the problem continues after you clean it then you know you have a problem with the mags or the gun. Then you can go from there.

Never use that junk in any gun. Now there will be 100 guys come here and tell it's the best thing since white bread. I am tell you it's junk. Clean and lube your gun real good and get some good ammo and run through it. You'll see. Good luck.

yep, that is what everyone on the XD forum said, too. i'm kinda pissed the gun store owner sold it to me. i'll be going to walmart from now on for my good ole WWB.

As light as the SC is it is possible to effectively limp wrist without realizing it. All Auto's like a bit of mass to work against. If the problem occurs with WWB ammo try taping a roll of quarters to your strong hand to increase effective resistance to recoil and try again. It is probably the ammo but if not give it a try.

Not a fan of Wolf ammo. My PPK wasnt either. WWB FTW!

I put tons of Wolf through my AK, but steel cases through my handgun that costs twice as much, I don't think so.

Wolf works great for Com-bloc era weapons designed for that crud, but I wouldn't use it in any handgun designed in the free world. AKs, SKSs, Makarov's eat wolf like candy.

My Walther however is on a low sulfer/carbon diet. WWB rules.

The first thing that came to my mind was that the ammo was crappy. Second thing that came to mind was limp wristing. So I agree with everyone else.

I think Rictoven hit the nail on the head.

I'll never shoot Wolf through any of my pistols again...it broke the extractor on my Beretta 96. :smt076
