YOUR opinion should be to buy the gun that makes you smile when you pick it up.

All of the guns are good choices, and you will not regret owning any of them. While all companies occassionally make a lemon, none of those gun companies set out to make a bad or dangerous product. They all want to stay in business and keep making a profit.

Which one did you enjoy shooting the most?

Which was the most comfortable?

Did one trigger rub your finger wrong?

Were you clumsy with the mag release on another?

Did you shoot more accurately with one?

Those are questions that only you can answer.

Ditto! Those are all good guns. but very different from one another. As far as quality, accuracy and reliability you can't go wrong with any of them so it will come down to your preferred operating system and how it feels in your hand.

Can you guys compare and contrast the trigger styles? I don't understand the halfcocking/double action/single action crap.

Here you go.

SA Single action- Hammer has to be cocked for the weapon to fire. Also has a short trigger pull. Usually 4-6 pounds of pressure to release.

DA Double Action- Hammer/Striker is cocked by the trigger pull. This has a long trigger pull. usually 8-15 pounds of pressure to release.

Some pistols have a LDA (Light Double Action). Where te hammer/striker is partially cocked by the recoil of the slide. The trigger takes care of the rest.

After your opinion, if you could explain the trigger systems, that'd be great (DA/SA). I know the P99AS has an odd trigger system, hard to understand.

i have 3 of the ones you listed..
the p99 AS full size 9mm, the beretta 92fs 9mm, and the hk usp .40 full size..

i also have the beretta px4 and glock 19..

i like them all..esp the beretta 92fs which i am most accurate with..
the hk usp .40 shoots very well as well...not much recoil as i thought..
i have hogue grips on them and i think it takes the edge off a little off the recoil.

the walther p99 is just an awesome looking piece, shoots cleanly but i need practice with that gun....
