help me shopping

I have MAXIMUM 600$ to spend on a new gun. I would like to keep it more around 500$ though if possible. Just went and browsed at the local shop and this is what caught my eye and the prices.
(I am looking for a smaller 9mm, reliable, and a good value)

-Kahr CW9 bi-tone 400$
I liked the way it felt in my hand, but I have never heard of these guns (however, i am rather new at this)

-Glock 26 black 560$
I LOVED the feel of it in my hand with the grip extension, but I'm not too sold on them for the price. Plus I'd have to spend the extra money on the grip extension.

-XD 3" 9mm black 525$ and bi-tone 560$
I already have one XD and I can honestly say I am in love with it. This gun wasn't in stock, so I didn't actually get to see or hold it, but I had them get me a price because I haven't had any issues with my XD40.

I obviously like the price of the Kahr the best, and I think they are all good looking guns. I will be using it for self-defense and going to the range. I don't plan on carrying it, but I would like something smaller for a little variation in my collection because my XD40 is the tactical.

1.Kahr CW9 great for packing if you get a good one.
2.Glock will go bang everytime and good for packing.(spending all ya got).
3.XD 9mm 3". You know them and like them. I would go top shelve and get the bi-color as I think they are cool. (spending all ya got).
I love to spend others money. I should have been a politician.
The prices is a little on the high side for the Glock and XD. Can you make it to a show? You could save $50 or more dollars if you did. Good luck.

there is a show here tomorrow, but they put a 5 day hold on my check, so i can't purchase til next week. that's a bummer.

I think Baldy is on the right track.. I would add that it's my personal preference to stay with the same basic platform for defense guns, so I don't have to stop in the middle of a situation and think to myself "wait... which gun is this?" So my home defense pistol is the P99 fullsize, and I carry the P99 compact.

In other words, if you go with the XD, you may not have as much variety in your collection, but you'd be taking advantage of all the time already spent training on the XD tactical.

If you could just get somebody to loan you about $550 you could save yourself $50 or $75 bucks. Here local I can get the XD Compact black for $480. I figure at the show this week end I should be able to get it for under $450. Good luck.:smt1099

I'm partial to the XD myself. My XD40 has been trouble free since I've owned it and never hesitate to recommend them.

haha well this girl would normally run right out and get herself another XD but i liked the kahr, just never heard anything about them at all.

Show here in Asheville Sat.&Sunday most likely just pick up a couple boxes of ammo, but would love to find another "add me" gun.

It's a totally different action than you're used to, but for a bit of variety you should take a look at a Browning Hi-Power. All steel and feels terrific in the hand.

i am going to go order the SC XD today. i'm a sucker for a pretty gun.

ahhh! i couldn't order it today! the owner that gives out the forensic student discounts wasn't there today. i don't know how i will be able to sleep tonite knowing i haven't ordered my new XD yet. :smt022
