The Charter Arms revolvers are good guns. I've owned two of them. The newer ones are fine guns.
They are beefier and have better grips over the older ones with skinny wood grips.
The newer ones fit the hand better thus better control.
Had a .44 Special with the 2" (+ or -) barrel and it shot great. Sold it to a friend of mine 'cause he really wanted it (and needed it). Good gun. But even at the .44 Special level, it's still a handful. :smt028
Here's the real deal on charter arms the first owners in 70's were the best
built as far as quality. If I have my facts right charter gone bankrupt twice
in 90's both times product quality suffered. Most recently the manufacters
of hi point firearms purchased charter house so I bet quality will improve.
I have a bulldog in 44spl and it's a nice pistol but it's no smith or ruger.
There's an old saying you get what you pay for. They fill a niche.
I had a Charter Undercover 38 special and it was a good gun. I sold it because I can not hit the bottom of a lake with a small revolver if I was standing on the bottom. The guy I sold it to loves it and shoots well with it.
