I would assume a good 22db+ ears would work fine.
What would be the best ear protection to buy before using the Desert Eagle Mark XIX .50 AE (7 round capacity). The reason I'm asking is because I don't want to destroy my hearing.![]()

When I shoot my hardball matches. I use foam earplugs with a good set of muffs, called double plugging. I have a set of Radians electronic muffs and they work great. they are rated at 26 db. The foam pluges are rated at 29 db. Very effective.
When I shoot mine, I just use foam earplugs. Sometimes I use Ruger muffs either way it reduces dBs. Hopefully you won' need but a few shots. Usually one mag and I feel better the whole day.
When I used to shoot mine I used either foam plugs or electronic muffs. If you're that worried use plugs and muffs.
Check out this thread.
Some guy at my local range was firing off his Barrett .50 and my muffs worked fine.
Are you planning on loading for your 50AE? I have around 1000 rounds of brass and 1000 hard cast bullets sitting here.
