I realize that there is a big difference in cost. It appears that size wize and concealment the Kahr PM9 and the Keltac P3at have similarities. Obviously the reason to compare the Kahr is I lean toward the 9mm.

By all means get what you want. People are up and down the latter on the K/T 3AT. If you look at it as a last line of defense, it can get the job done if you have practiced with it. This is not a target pistol. Point and shoot has worked real well for me at 7' and 10'. I call it my noggen gun because thats how I'll be using it if I ever have to. Of corse my 1st go to is my old .45. I would not carry it as one gun only.
I've been contemplated a similar decision. I like size et. the Kel-Tec PF-9 but it is not reliable yet. I will probably end up getting the P3AT mainly because of the cost factor. I've heard pros and cons on it.
This is comparing apples and oranges. The Kahr will weigh double what the p3at will weigh, and STILL be slightly too big for comfortable pocket carry. If you want to carry in your pocket, get the p3at.
My P3AT has been totally reliable. Just don't want to shoot it at the range all day.

:smt023 It's a fine weapon for what it was ment for and that's up close and personal. 7' to 10' is all I practice at because that is the range I will use it at. I only shoot around 20rds at the range but I shoot it every time I go. I have read where some of these guys shoot a 100 or 200 through it at the range. All I can say is they are tough. Use it for what it was designed for and it will do the job. I am betting my life on it.
