What Have I Done to Myself?!
If this isn't the right place for this, I won't be offended if you move it. Wasn't sure where else to put it.
So for the first time in my life I experienced really horrible wrist pains while on the range. Not sure what happened. I have some theories, but not sure if I am correct.
While I was on the range today I had to leave early because I couldn't hold my Sig up anymore. I made it to the last magazine full of rounds when I suddenly felt this horrible pain sweep up my arm. It was later contained in my wrist until I held a smaller Sig at another shop and almost dropped it just holding it.
Wasn't doing anything different. Same stance, same grip, same type of ammo, same shooting speed (not rapid firing).
I've had an active range week, but it isn't the first time I've done that. A few days ago I went out with my Sig (100 rounds) and my Smith (60 rounds) and shot someone else's HK 40 (10 rounds) in a swap for my Smith. Yesterday I put 2 rounds through the S&W 500. And today I put 5 rounds through a lever action rifle chambered in 32 Winchester Special, then followed it a little while later with 50 rounds from my Sig. It was the last 10 that gave me trouble. I could just about keep the gun in my hands and my grouping went straight to hell. That has never happened before.
So what could I have possibly done? Is my wrist just protesting the guns I shot this week or did I do something to my wrist? It still hurts right now pretty badly, but I'm not having an issue typing and it hasn't swollen up on me. Any ideas?
