Thread: Need .45 Advice

Largest grip I have ever felt is a HK USP - fullsize. U could add a hogue grip on it to make it even larger. That's the only suggestion I can think of.

i agree with shipwreck. having large hands also, the H&K is probably the biggest grip along with the XD. hogue grips make a huge difference for me. the other large gripped handgun that comes to mind is the desert eagle series. massage power with a high price. the grip on those works VERY well for my large hands

Well, the desert eagle doesn't come in 45, and it is ridiculously large - Most people (not all, but many) who buy a desert eagle tend to sell them later on. Thats why there are so many usedones floating around...

ONly other larger gun I can think of is the HK Mark 23, but that is an almost $2000 gun - the grip on that thing is monster


I think the USP is your best bet, and not too high of a price.

Also, some of the Sigs with the wooden grips have fat grips. I find that the wooden grips make the gun too large for my hand. But, I don't think any of those are in 45 - just 9mm and 40 cal.

I would recommend the HK USP TACTICAL.

Well, the g rip is the same - its just a longer slide - nice, if U can afford the extra cash

The Glock 21 has a larger grip then the USP but I like the USP better. Mine has been 100%!

And there are always the double stack 1911's(para-ordinance and SA etc.)

Well, the grip is still shaped differently. I can hold a Glock 21 but the USp is still to fat... Not sure why...

Really? I would not believe how big the grip of the 21 was compared to my USP!

I hope these pictures help. I find the 21 to have a much fatter grip but overall is smaller than the USP.

try a xd-45

Try looking at the CZ 97. It is a big gun and a bit heavy but it might fit the bill.

I find the XD to be a perfect fit.

dam now I have to go buy a CZ 97, be right back.
