Nothing wrong with being prepared.
I've been reading over the "Mall Ninja" threads, about those of us who clank when we walk. Very amusing, if uncomfortably true.
But, what about your car? Is it a SurvivalMobile? In the "secret compartment" in my SUV, I've got a spare .45, a .22, small baggies of ammunition in common calibers (.22, .38, 9mm, .40, .45, .223, .308, 12g), a honkin' Cold Steel knife, multi-tool, emergency cash, fire-starters, water purifier, Clif bars, a couple of MRE's, warm clothes, flashlights, etc. etc. etc.
And you? Go ahead, confess.
Nothing wrong with being prepared.
As far as fire power I always have my trusty G23 on me so I'm GTG. I do tend to keep blankets ect in my vehicles since I live in Northwestern Montana and being stranded in the winter could be a bad thing.
I have some junk tossed around the car. A crank radio with flashlight and siren attached, a waterproof blanket, a knife with gutting hook, two first aid kits, two tool kits, ammo for all of my guns except the rifle, a coat, hiking boots, and about six spare mags for the Sig.
Ah. I tend to wander while driving and once or twice have gotten myself horribly lost. I just like to be prepared for spending a night in the car in the middle of nowhere.
I carry the following in the truck:
1. A large old Mag-lite ... not just for illumination purposes ...
2. A SOG Trident Bowie
3.. A 1911 micro~compact
I'm abit of a minimalist. I tend to go light & carry only a few "dependable" multi~purpose items for defense... your brain is the best tool for keeping you out of trouble.

I've got my XD and BUG, a can of OC spray, medical kit, and just got this "tool" for Christmas that has a beacon, flashlight, window smasher, seatbelt cutter, and magnet.
