    what next

I have a new itch. I am wondering which caliber to go into next. Love .45 acp and 9mm. I am getting used to 10mm. It is really powerful and much harder to control (IMHO)

so I am deciding between 38 super vs 10mm and which platform. .
    I want a steel framed gun.One choice is a DW--either Bruin(which I favor) and they have it in 10mm or a silverback(again 10mm)

not sure what is out there and which brand makes the best 10mm or 38 super guns. I want durability and reliability

OK go to town. I am listening to your suggestions and the reasons behind them

Maybe something in a .357 magnum or .44 magnum?

Agree a good ole fashion Leg Cannon. 375 MAG WITH 6-INCH BARREL. Don't even have to hit your target if within 20 feet. The muzzle concussion and bullet shock wave will knock the target down, blinded, and death.

I agree a .357 would be a great next option. Every gun person should own at least one revolver in .357 mag; I'd suggest a Smith & Wesson model 686.

I am a 10mm fan, and I love .38 Super, but they aren't all that practical, economically speaking. The good platforms are expensive and you pretty much have to order the ammo, online. I have a Glock G20 that I shoot better than anything I've got, at 25 yards and beyond.

The sweet thing about 10mm is its Maximum Point Blank Range, an old fashioned parameter that simply means you can shoot it a long way (for a pistol) without having to 'hold over' the target. The G20 suits me to a tee, because I only carry it in the woods, with the thought that it will kill a feral hog, should he decide to run towards me, instead of away from me. They get confused, sometimes, and may try to 'hook' you as they go by. I've never shot one with it, but I do feel better in the woods, when carrying the 10mm. I have killed one with .45 ACP, and found it inadequate.

If I were going to buy one in a 1911 platform, I'd probably favor the Dan Wesson, but that's just a guess.
