Found my xmas present

My wife took my son into town today and spent the whole day with him. I knew something was up because there is no way he would spend the day with her shopping. I check our bank account online and notice they spent 940 at Gander mtn. They had a S&W460 for 1050 so I thought they got a differant model that was cheaper. I cornered my son when my wife was not around and he told me they did not get me the 460. I didn't believe him and went ahead and ordered 454 cas and 460 S&W dies from midway. This morning I went into the wifes handbag for cash and found the reciept for a HK USP 45 OD Green. She left the house and I told my son I knew what they got me. It's alway been a game with us that I always find out what they are giving me. It's wrapped and under the tree. It's going to be a long 19 days. My son said that when they showed up at gander and my wife said what does he want, the sales person pulled out the 460 and my wife said she wasn't going to spend that much money. My son asked if they had internet and to look up my wish list on this site. We might have some new members from Gander mtn. I go there every other day. I still don't believe I'm getting a HK. It will be my first sada and plan on carrying it. Anyone one who has one please let me know how it shoots.

Judging from your tastes in pistols, I think you'll be pretty happy with that H&K. Just an observation.

Now the wait. How can you stand it, knowing there's a new gun in the house and you can't shoot it for 19 more days or what ever? Now while the wife is at work you take the day off and sneak in and take it to the range and try it out. Put it back all wraped up and act real surprised Christmas. I just couldn't stand it. Makes me glad my wife let me shoot my 5 7 before she wrapped it. When I handed her the case, she said " that's empty." I had to open the case to prove the gun was in there. Two of the mags were loaded with 20 rounds each. Talk about a light weight gun!

I am happy for you but now your Christmas is officially over.

I personally can wait until xmas to find out what i got..........oh sure it is torture, but I truly want to be surprised on xmas day.

If I were to get into my wifes purse for something, or she got into my wallet for something, no matter what, I or she would have hell to pay, believe me!

But, all aside, congrats on the great Christmas gift. Let us know how it shoots.

I kinda agree.

We tend to just buy what we want and call it a Christmas present - mainly because my wife doesn't have a cclue onw hat I want.

My ex-wife did used to surprise me. That was kinda kewl.

Oh me everybody getting new guns and I got a peice of a dog. I have got to change my ways.

Christmas to me is not what you get but it's a time that my family gets together. I'm still looking forward to Christmas because of this. So Christmas is not over for me, I look forward to what I'm giving than what I'm getting.

I would say some of us have some very good wives. Now if I find that Jeep Wrangler Rubicon under the tree I will be a very happy boy. I'd even like it more than the GI Joe I got in 1964.

She doesn't know I know and I can be a great actor. I did take the surprise away from my son through, I'll think twice next time. Yes I'm very lucky to have a wife like mind. I think a gun is the perfect gift. If I got my son one I would be temped to tell him because the wait is killing me. I think about the dam thing all day long. 18 and counting. Reminds me of when I was a short timer in the army counting the days.
