Well...........easy for me. It's a seasonal thing. If it's winter ('bout a month long here) I carry my Colt Defender (big bullet, light weight, etc.), if it's summer (11 months) I carry my Colt Defender.![]()

Those of you with multiple guns, how do you decide which gun to carry?
I still havent carried nor shot my HK yet, so I just carry my Walther all the time.

In the winter I try to carry my Sig because the shoulder holster is more comfy. And when I open carry it is also the Sig. But in warmer months or when I choose not to wear a jacket, I carry my Bersa.
I tend to only carry 1 gun - My p99c. I hard chromed my fullsize P99 and SW99, so I need not worry about holster wear on them. But, I could only carry them in the winter (if I wanted), And, I am satisified w/ just the P99c.
And, I don't carry my HK USPc and Glock 34 - the glock is too big and is a range and night stand gun, and I don't wanna mess up the finish on my USPc. Plus, with the grip size, if I carried that (the USPc), I may as well just carry my fullsize P99.

Which ever gun you practice with the most.
I’m actually thinking of getting a Kel-Tec P11. My G23 just seems to thick for me to carry.
I carry a S&W .45 on my hip and a Kel-Tec .3at in my pocket. That .380 is a blast to shoot from the hip. I been working with it since I got it.
If I am comfortable with it, I'll carry it. It depends more on how I have to dress and where I am going. I have seven autos that I have carried at one time or another but I try to stick to just two or three.
Depends on where I'm going, what I'll be doing and the weather.
My $.02
Carry one gun!!! Know it intimately. You should be able to bring it into action without concious thought.
I carried 4" 1911s for 10 years, this past spring i decided to switch to a HK USPc .45. I trained with for several months before I commited it to a carry gun. Really didn't take much, the manual of arms is very similar to a 1911.
It always make me smile when folks worry about holster wear on a carry gun. I have my 'pretty' guns that I want to keep nice. But a full time carry piece is a TOOL. It should be treated like one, well maintained, and used regulary!!! It will show some wear. It should be presented from the holster 1,000s upon 1,000s of times throughout its life (during training) forget about what the finish looks like.
Agree with you 100% there JD. I just changed over to carrying a .45 auto here in the last six months. It's a sharp pistol now, but in another year or less it will be showing wear I am sure. I am not worried about it as it is a service gun that I will use a 1000 times over practing with. If I ever have to lay it on the line I want it to feel natural as can be to point and shoot.
You could just do like the kid in this video (from a previous thread on this forum):

Never argue with drunks or crazy people.
I completely agree with you, it just isn't possible for me. I have to deep conceal at work, or not carry at all so I carry the P64 in a pocket. Now outside of work my Baby Eagle is my first choice and I just bought a Beretta 84 that will probably replace the Xd on my top three list. The Beretta is a little easier to conceal with certain clothing, and it has the same operating system as the other two. That way all three guns at least work the same.
reliable, comfortable, praticed. these are my way to decide, I carry a Colt Double Eagle 5" or a Colt 1911a1 5" year round.
Most of the time. I carry my Glock 26, since it fits well in my front pocket, along with my Nemesis holster. It gets hot here in Vegas in the summer, and cover garments don't make it. Also, it allows me to wear my normal work clothes. When I can, I carry my XD 45 in an IWB holster, and a 5.11 vest. This is usually on the week end.
