Anybody gotten their hands on the new Ruger LC9s?

I have been begging Ruger for years to fix the trigger on the LC9. Hurray! I hear they finally did it! Has anyone gotten a chance to try one out? I have not seen the pistol yet. Just saw the Hickok45 review of it on youtube last week. Looks like a very desirable piece.

My wife let me "borrow" her LC9s for a little while at the range on Sunday. I got to shoot it side-by-side with my shield. As fine a pistol as the Ruger is, I think the shield is still better. (Besides the shield comes with 2 magazines) The Ruger still has a trigger pull that is too long for a striker fired pistol. Sure, it's better than the DOA, but it is just too long of a pull for a striker fired pistol.
There. Down off the soapbox.

That was a super hard decision for me as well. The shield is a great gun and I actually prefer it slightly over the Ruger. It fills my hand better and the recoil is a tad softer. I also shoot it a bit better and have more confidence with it. However the S&W was just ever so slightly out of my maximum size limit.

I made the decision with my head and not my heart, so we will see how this works out. There are too many great guns too choose from!

In a small 9mm carry gun, it would be a hard decision to make between the Shield and LC9s, so I have both :) As far as triggers, the LC9s is hands down better than the Shield in my opinion. Just picked up my Ruger LC9S about 3 weeks ag from Shooters Plus | Guns for Sale - Online Gun Store
I agree....the trigger is better. For a small belly gun I consider it ideal.

Recently picked up an LC9s. Very sweet trigger. Totally different animal from the original LC9. Ended up trading for a 9mm Shield. Couldn't keep anything resembling a group with the LC9s. Really wanted to like the gun... So easy to carry. With that said, the Shield doesn't have a trigger near as nice as the LC9s, but man, she's a fantastic shooter! Can easily keep all rounds in 3" at 10 yards.

I kept my LC9s for a month and then traded it for a Shield 9mm as well. As a left handed shooter I kept tripping the mag. release on the Ruger under recoil. VERY annoying. You would have thought Ruger would have caught that issue in the R&D stage. I miss the tigger on the Ruger but I shoot the Shield better.
