If there's a thread comparing these already, please let me know where it is and delete this thread as a duplicate.
Considering downsizing what I've got and selling/trading my Taurus (locally; there's a gun show coming up)
Trying to decide between Springfield armory XD 40 subcompact and Ruger SR40c. (looking into them for concealed carry)
Springfield has an incentive at the moment (3 extra mags, & mag holster). No incentives at Ruger. Pricing is about the same in this area.
The grips give the XD a smaller grip which my wife likes as her hands are smaller than mine. I kind of like the XD.
Not sure if I'd be able to get both after downsizing weapons I have now.
How have both guns been working/lasting for folks.
Thanks in advance

Well, ended up going with the SR9 compact. Fits the wife's hands better as mentioned below and 9mm luger ammo is cheaper.
*However* now have to wait till my separated shoulder heals some more to be able to fire it. :smt076:
oh, well...

You'll like it. The SR9c is my daily carry. Some folks don't like the lawyer added safety and loaded chamber indicator. Maybe the courts will, if I ever have to use it. Meanwhile it's been a reliable shooter.

I shoot Hornady 124gr handloads. I'm happy with the trigger. The only change I've made is adding a piece of bicycle tube to soften the grip.
