problem doesnt happen all the time but way more than anyone would like it to, it will recoil but not eject the spent casing. originally thought it may have been the ammunition but after trying a handful of different makes of ammunition it seems to be a problem with the gun itself. i have 2 magazines with no difference, tried oiling the gun with different qualities of oil but nothing seemed to help. it does have a 2-piece guid rod which ive heard is a some what bad design in general.
anyone have any ideas on solutions or may have run into this problem?
Yup.
I bet that you're "limp-wristing" the pistol.
Your wrists, elbows, and shoulders aren't fully "locked." They move, and thereby absorb some of the recoil force the pistol needs in order to properly operate.
Diagnotic Test: Let a very experienced pistol shooter try the gun. If it still happens, it's the gun. If it doesn't, it's you.
I would second Steve's opinion above. You need to track also if it is the same round in each magazine. Let another shooter try it, and that will certainly narrow it down to the gun or the shooter.
