The Darwin Award winner was bragging, "I'm going to get shot with a "deuce, deuce". The Darwin Award runner up shot him just above the vest and faces first and second degree murder charges and of course handgun violations.
Obviously trying to prove the effects of the "ballistic vest". Obviously someone was never taught proper sight-picture-target alignment. Obviously Person A just helped improve the gene pool by removing Person B. Geeze, kinda funny how life operates....

Really stupid. A lousey shot and didn't call 911. The victim might've lived had EMTs arrived and been able to treat him on the way to the ER. Then again what kind of idiot voluntarily takes an effing BB to the chest much less a possibly lethal round!? Like Alice said, "It's getting curiouser and curiouser."
According to what I've read, a .22 LR Hi Vel slug, fired from 50' in, is capable of going completely through a human thorax if it doesn't hit bone. If it hits a rib it can ricochet internally multiple times. There's a lot of important stuff in them thoraxes.
I am retired LEO and have seen several people who were shot with a 22. None of my victims died. If a 22 can penetrate a 2X4 piece of wood, it can do a lot of internal damage. Several ER doctors have said that if the bullet doesn't hit a vital organ, the biggest issue is infection, as the bullet tends to bounce around and spread the debris field, which can not be easily cleaned. In this case, the result was death, and the bullet must have hit a vital organ. Charges for this incident are currently first degree murder, as who knows if the knucklehead that fired the gun may not have missed the vest on purpose. They may not have been "Best Friends".
Yep, 22's are very powerful. I blasted through 2x4's of wood all day long from as far as 50 yards. With a rifle that is. Adding a 22 LR stinger made it even more power. The Same 22LR would just barely make it through (2) 2x4 pieces of wood with a CCI Stinger 1750 FPS.
That pistol may have had stingers in it. Most guys with 22's know there kinda under powered. And they try to get the most, and the stinger is the fastest they sell at Walmart!
Either way! You don't shoot guns at each other in a basement. Unless your defending yourself. And geez! What a horrible shot. If the guy was any closer, it might would have hit him in the HEAD! And not the neck. What were they 2 or 3 feet away?
