CCW OF CHOICE STYER C9-A1 or CZ-75 Compact
I carry the Glock 19 Gen 4. This pistol for me provides a very inexpensive, safe, reliable pistol that is easy to conceal and is a very smooth shooter. I posted the Styer C9-A1 or CZ-75 Compact bc I am looking at the two. The Styer is a proven weapon, and the C9-A1 has a 3.5" brl while carries 17+1. The CZ has legendary combat experience and superb ergonomics.
What is your conceal carry defense weapon of choice and why?
I front pocket carry a Kahr CW40 or a Ruger SR9c. I may check out a Glock 27.
I carry these pistols because they are totally reliable and will fit my pockets There is some great defense ammo out there for 9mm and .40 S&W. And I got great deals on both pistols.
As for the Styer, I almost bought one some time ago. May still yet. I like the way it looks and feels, and It has a good reputation.
Just my 2 bits worth
lefty, I owned the Styer C9, and I can tell you it is a dandy of a pistol. The only reason I traded it for a Glock was b/c at the time I could not find a decent IWB holster for it. I don't do the generic nylon pouches that will hold any old gun. Maybe I'm too finicky, but it's just me. I have never fired a CZ, but they do really feel good, and everything I've heard about them is that they are phenomenal pistols. My wife carries the Shield, and it's a dandy too. I just like having a few more bullets. I guess the way I look at it is that if I'm going to carry something with only 9 bullets it's going to be a .45. Although the new G42 could be a pocket gun, and it is a dream to shoot. Back to the Styer, there are a plethora of nice IWBs for it now, so I'm itching to trade the 19 in for the Styer. Decisions!!!
Tell me about why you like CZ. I think they are great looking pistols and they feel really good in my hand, but have never had the opportunity to shoot one.
