tanfoglio
hi y'all, new to the site.if you don't remember something could that mean it may not have happenedt? Anyway I have a tanfoglio gt32.i know it's a cheap little gun(i traded a harley headlight for it)but i thought hey i don't need the headlight and i've never owned a semi.. well it shoots straight and tight but it fresand ejects the hull but does'nt recock the pistol so it has to be cocked for each shot. does anybody have any suggestions how to cure this without melting it down for a sinker or paperweight?

If you cycle the slide through it's full travel by hand, will the hammer stay cocked?
If yes, there may travel problem to where the slide travel is inadequate to push the slide far enough. Could be anything from excess gunk, to wussy ammo, trigger spring...
If no, the sear engagement is possibly worn or the victim of some sort of "improvement."
When you cock the hammer by hand, is there any odd behavior? Is the trigger really light? Really heavy?
Is it exceptionally gunky on the interior? So many possibilities, don't really know where to start. If you're able to/comfortable with it, I suggest a full detail strip and deep clean. Inspect the internal bits for wear and hamfisted improvements. Then you will know where things stand. Otherwise, give it to a gunsmith for inspection.

thanks for the ideas.if i cycle it by hand it will cock it.you are probably right on about the "mods" because i thinks it has passed through many hands.time to tear it downand check inside also all i have shot through it is remington bullets.also does anybody know where i can get some extra mags for it?
