Worst gun you've ever fired?

For me it would have to be a VZOR 70.

One of my friends brought one of these over one day when we were getting ready to shoot. The first thing I noticed was the feel of 60 grit sandpaper as I racked the slide. I disassembled the gun and noted that it had been subjected to years of neglect. I cleaned and oiled it and was able to get it to feel like 250 grit sand paper. This poor gun jammed on nearly every round that we tried to put through it.

Months later I went to the range with my friend's brother, he pulled out a VZOR 70. At first I thought it was the same gun, but the world couldn't be so lucky. This one functioned just about as well as the first. Now I'm aware that these could have been so poor strictly because of neglect, but they're just not all that pretty or comfortable either.

Hanging out at the gun store one day we were talking about that thing and the owner made the comment that it would "make a good sock gun." Meaning that it would be a great gun to drop into a sock and beat somebody over the head with.

I like to joke that these guns were formerly owned by a now dead Czech police officer, he trusted his life to them.

What's the worst thing you've ever seen / fired?

I have two candidates the S&W M410 and Taurus PT111. I am a descent shot and I could hit nothing with the S&W M410 rental gun I fired.

I own an early Taurus PT111 and its trigger is so bad that it will not group at 5 yards. To top it off, Taurus knows the pistol has a rotten trigger but will do nothing about it. This pistol is a great idea that was poorly executed. Yes, my experience soured me against Taurus products in general.

I love Berettas, but in Feb 2005, I had my shop order me a Beretta Vertec Inox 9mm. Gun shot horrible. And, it wasn't that the sights were off. I couldn't shoot a group anywhere. Round after round just went to a random place. I could put it down and grab the regular 92FS I had at the time, and get consistancy.

I took that Vercet out 5 or 6 times, and kept trying to master it. The last time, I was at an outdoor range. I had fired about 100 rounds when a couple came to shoot. The b/f was showing the g/f how to shoot for the first time,a nd he had a Ruger P89. She just started to stack the bullets on top of each other. She was doing a great job. Then, I looked at my target, which looked like a shotgun hit it. I then just packed up the gun, and I didn't even bother to shoot my last 100 rounds. I went and traded that gun back the next day.

I haven't shot many handguns but the Keltek P3AT just wanted to jump out of my hand. I understand it's typical for a mouse gun but it's the worst gun I've shot.

I fired two shots in a Bryco/Jennings .380 and I buried it at the bottom of the Indian River Lagoon. Death trapp. I felt safer in front of the gun, more than behind it. I am sure any punk on the street could build a better zip gun than that.

I had a old Winchester 190 auto .22. The barrel was wore completly out. It would barely keep a group in a wash barrel at 50 yrds

The worst gun I've ever shot was my first Automag. It jammed every other shot. :smt011

a .40 sub-compact Kahr

A star 45acp jammed almost everytime and was to light.

By early I assume you mean the Millenium series instead of the Millenium Pro? I have a Millenium Pro PT145 that is a fantastic shooter except for the fact that the recoil tends to cause me to accidentally hit the mag release. I CAN shoot it without dropping the mag but it takes an effort. The trigger is stiff, but it's not the worst double action I've ever dealt with. I think what bothers me more than the stiffness is the fact that it's plastic. After a while it starts to wear on my trigger finger.

I'm kinda curious because I bought my brother a Millenium Pro PT111 for Christmas last year. He's always liked the style, and he liked my 45 but thought he would rather have the more "manageable" 9mm in case his wife should ever need it. Unfortunately though, life gets in the way and in 8 months he's yet to fire it.:smt071

The Taurus Raging Bull was a decent gun, but the ejector rod didn't work, so I had to push the used casings out with a pen.

Gotta be my Charles Daly 1911 POS. When I bought it I hadn't done any research at all on the brand, and I just wanted a 1911...any 1911. I had the fever. It's given me so many problems. FTFeed, FTE, and will eject an empty case and a whole round too sometimes! :smt076 Some day I might sell it or trade it off...or use it under a table leg, lol.
