How to Clean a Gun - Tips and Techniques - HD VIDEO
Do you find doing cleaning and maintenance to be relaxing and enjoyable? I really like hunkering down with my pistols and rifles, field stripping, or detail stripping them down and carefully cleaning and lubing them? I enjoy the little foray into mechanics and I always admire the craftsmanship and engineering marvel that firearms represent.
What are your favorite little "tricks" or "tips" and "techniques" for making it an enjoyable and relatively hassle free experience?
Here's a little video I put together showing how I do it. Would love to hear from others on this.

Paul, I enjoy watching your videos. You asked for input, so here's mine. I have been using CLP silicone spray for about 20 years. Like Ballistol, I just spray it on and watch it foam. Then I scrub and wipe away everything that is not gun.
I have a ton of white T-shirts that I used to wear at my old job. I seem to get a lot of pleasure out of shredding them into cleaning patchs and rags. Instead of Q tips I use a jewelers screwdriver or small allen wrench to push the patchs into channels, grooves, etc. After cleaning I leave a light residue of CLP that drys to a silicone film. I also hit the obvious wear points with gun oil from a medical syringe.
That's about. it.
Thanks, appreciate your input very much!!
