Went to first Gun show in TX today

Went to one in Longview, TX and only found one deal and a lot of used trashed. One guy had used Glocks in bad shape asking 600 for them. Ask him who he was trying to fool and he said there was one in everyroom. Tyler has one next weekend put on by another group. Look forward to that one or I will just have to drive to Dallas to buy. Did not see one XD.

Welcome to the Gun Show Circuses of Texas! For some reason (maybe less competition) the smaller gun shows have the most ridculous prices. I don't even go to the local shows because of this. I'll make the trip to Austin or San Antonio. Little shows also seem to have vendors that are a lot more arrogant. Dallas will probably be worth the trip, especially if you are planning to buy a gun. Good luck.

Yes, the smaller gun shows are not as good. There was a local one I went to last year and I wanted my money back after I breezed thru it in 2 min. It was horrible.

I went to a rather large one today in Houston at the convention center, and it was pretty good. Best one is at the Reliant Center in Houston, however. They do it 3x a year.

If I were U, I'd go to one in Dallas. They have some good ones there too, so I've heard.

Went to one today in Tyler and it was great. I bought a Bushmaster M4A3 with 1k of extras put on it. The show was great compared to the last one. I still have my CT driver license so I could not buy a handgun. If I could I would of pick up a 1911 S&W PD with laser grips new for 835. Retail is 1308 on it. Next time.

Don't let the laser grips stop you from buying as it a heck of a pistol without them. I got a PD for $714.00 here in Orlando, FL about a month ago. It's a shooting little sucker. I love it.

Hey Ship still living with Mother-in-law. Just bought a new house and move in this week. I have a laser and surefire light coming for it. Took it to the range at night to fire tracers and almost set the place on fire. Sure dry here in NE TX.
