I am having some issues trying to locate a holster that might fit both of my .45's

Hello Brothers,

I currently own my Para P10 Warthog. She has a 3" barrel. My newest firearm to my collection is a Ruger P345 and her barrel is just a smigen over four inches: 4.05" to be exact. I would like to acquire an iwb black leather holster right side that can accomodate both of my .45's for CCW purposes. Money is tight right now and it would really nice instead of swapping both gun and holster just swapping out the gun itself.

At first I thought a a thumb-break would be nice but I would even take one now with out a TB. I appreciate everyone's collective gun knowledge and expertise. I am eager to learn from others to find what works or doesn't work.

I appreciate honesty and please only speak of personal experiences I do not want to go on hearsay on certain holster(s) that you might not have utilized. Thank you very much.

This is going to be a tall order to fill as any advice given on what leather IWB holster will fit two totally different guns is going to be speculation to some degree.

Typically, leather holsters are molded to the gun they are for. While there is some level of swap-ability between similar guns, say a P-10 and a 1911 Commander sized gun etc. Going from a 1911 to Ruger may or may not have the desired fit.

Unless you're looking at something like the NRA Slide Holster, there aren't too many leather "one size fits most" options.


What exactly is your budget?

Uncle Mikes makes (or did) a clip IWB that has a generic fit for similar sized guns.I had one given to me years ago in rough side out leather but there is no name on it,that means real cheap.They're out there,just hard to find but Google will find you all kinds of stuff.For some reason TripleK pops in my mind but... Whatever you find will be low level stuff but something's better than nothing.

A holster that carries a loaded firearm is too critical a piece of equipment (in my humble opinion) to just kinda sorta fit, almost. A good secure fit is vital for your safety as well as the saftey of those around you. I'd suggest you purchase a holster that is made to fit one or the other of your two guns and use it for that gun. When you can afford to get one that'a a true fit for the other gun, do so. After you've carried the first one a while you'll certainly have a better idea about whether you want another holster of the same style or if you want to try something a little different in terms of style.

Thank you gentlemen for your feedback response to my initial enquiry about obtaining one holster for two of my firearms. I have been researching various IWB holsters. I came across a new type of 'deep carry' holster that seems to work pretty well. The only drawback is that this type of holster needs to be removed from your pants to reholster your firearm.

I acquired two different size 'deep carry' holsters from 'Versacarry Holsters'. They about 25.00 bucks. If anyone is interested in obtaining a 'deep carry' type of holster you might want to entertain their website. I am no way affiliated with them at all. Warthogster, if you are going that route I strongly encourage you to utilize the trigger shield that now comes with that holster. The very last thing you want to do is engage the trigger while you're drawing your weapon from your waistband.

I'd be interested to know how you like that holster system after you've had a chance to use it a while.
