This is just my opinion but My boys will each get my 1911's when I kick...they (to me) are more of the heirloom type to pass down in the family.
Tupperware gets passed down to my daughter![]()
After having a my ruger . 45 (p90) , I had to sell it to my brother after the economy went in the toilet so I could pay some bills. Now I'm looking for another .45 since work has picked up a little. I went to my local gun shoo and held a Smith and wesson M&P nand instantly wanted it. Now I'm having second thoughts about the M&P. No real reason just wanna make sure I'll be happy with it till the day comes that it'll belong to one of my kids. Just hoping somebody out there has a .45 that they would recommend. It's not for competition or anything like that. Mostly home protection, probably take it hunting with me also. Thanks

m&p are great guns, i have two 40 compacts and they are accurate and work flawlessly. i also have a glock model 30, 45 caliber and if i had to choose it would be the glock.
My M&P is flawless..well after the gritty trigger was fixedIt lives in the truck when I am there and on the nightstand while sleeping.
M&Ps are earning a solid reputation ...JJ
Thank you for all the feedback everybody, it definitely sounds like everybody is happy with their M&P or knows someone that is. I think I'm gonna go with what my gut was telling me originally and get the M&P, thanks again.
hk45c is a great gun compact but not to small holds 8+1 i would buy another one
