    First purchase

I've been researching 9mm handguns for a little over a month. I made the decision today on a Ruger SR9 for my first handgun. I'll be using this to complete my CCW here in NE but I was curious about what everyone else thought about using it for CC? I looked at the SR9c which is the SR9's little brother but decided against the compact version because it is my first handgun and I am not sure what I really want to use for CC. The SR9 is more for range shooting and home defense currently.

Congrats on the new Ruger. I had a Ruger SR9C, and loved it. Never had an issue with it. Traded it for another gun which I don't even have now. I wheel and deal so many different firearms it's crazy.

Can't beat that choice with a stick! That gun is a machine. Besides, if you invest in the right holster and carry method, there is no reason you could not pack the bigger gun with any real issues.

That's where I've been getting stuck. I've been looking at some holsters and to tell you the truth I'm a little lost. I'm open to everyone's thoughts on CC holsters for and SR9.

Look at Galco's on-line catalog for ideas. Click on: Galco holsters; Holsters; Gun holster, pistol holsters, western holsters, shoulder holsters, leather holster and Glock holsters
They sell the best-quality off-the-shelf holsters I've found.
