Semi-Auto Purchase Question

Hey guys, so again, I'm asking a question on behalf of someone else, though I can't say I'm not interested in the responses either. There is a budget of about $600 max. Looking for something in .40S&W and do not want a Glock. Something DA/SA. So far I've narrowed it down a bit so if you can narrow it down more, or add some more choices that would be awesome. Thanks!

1. Beretta PX4 Storm Compact
2. FN FNP 40
3. Springfield EMP (this one is close to $1000 new but if you think it could be had for much less used then it is an option.
4. For that matter, any compact 1911 used that could be found for around $600 would be awesome.

Look at a CZ a CZ 75b .40cal
on the list I would pick the FNX 40

There is a great gun for shooting targets and home defense but not really great for carry the is in the 600 range and is a great shooting weapon The EAA Witness Match Elite .40 I would seriously look at that gun unless carry is a possibility.

Cool, I'm gonna look into the CZ 75B. Yea carry is definitely not a possibility. I'm from NYC haha so it's going to be just home defense and target shooting.

You can get a RIA compact officer model well under that price and have some money to spend on some goodies, holster, mags, nad put a little personal touch to it, grips, ect. or might go with the springfield XDM / I carry a Springfield xd40sc and am very pleased with this gun....

All are great guns ..

I've listed them in the order that I'd keep them.

The 1st two (Sig & Beretta PX4) are the best guns I've ever owned or shot.

I don't believe you can not go wrong with any of them. :rolleyes:

I'd suggest that you rent or borrow each gun and shoot them. :smt082

You'll quickly know which gun you like and which gun likes you.
