While searching for a new pistol, I came across a Citadel 1911. Anyone have any information on this company? I've never heard of them. Appreciate the help.

citadel is made by armscorp, the makers of rock island armory in the philipines
high standard was a company who had a huge line of great autos,revolvers, and futuristic shotguns including the automag. they went out of business in 84. in 93 restarted when someone bought the automatic licenses and they have now branched into 1911s...

High Standard many years ago had an excellent reputation......waiting for the new Ruger SR 1911 as they are competitively priced 5-600 and has Ruger backing it with excellent service.....was tempted with the RI but decided I wanted the assurance of a warranty...which although not stated is lifetime as well....JJ
