Shipping Handgun Question
I have to ship my handgun back to Beretta for repairs .... Do I have to ship slide assembly seperate from Gun Body? Thus in two pieces seperate packages / or is it allowable to ship complete handgun? Want to ship privately without going thru FFL. Or must I use a FFL
to ship it back to the mfg you just need to take it to ups or fed ex or incase of long guns, usps also.... rules vary, ups is by far the easiest in my experience....

Call them first,To see if you need to put the lock on it. Most like the mag out, And the lock through the mag out the slider.Where there is no way anyone can put a bullet in the pistol.
Your not to put the keys in the box. Most of them sand you a new lock back. They mail it back in one week of the pistol, Being mail back to you. But some mfg are not he same.
So I would call first, To know how they do it there. Just like Ted said FedEx or Ups ,Not the usps.
I would not use FFL. If you have a friend ya,But if not no.
(Just call so you know what they want from you)...''‘
call them first, smith goes like this: you call them they mail you a ups tag, you go to ups and they provide free box and packing they ship to smith, they repair it and send it back ups to your door. all free. all instuctions come with the ups tag, unloaded, no lock etc. no need for ffl.
although beretta is a different company i would imagine there procedure is similar if not the same
