Obama was making noises like he was going to eliminate plastic shopping bags. I use these (new, not used) to clean up after my dog. When I started to get nervous about the availability of these bags in the future I bought sufficient numbers of bags (12,000) to be sure that I had enough to last the rest of my dog's projected life.

"What's the projected life expectancy of a Chesapeake Bay retriever?"

"Oh, about 15,000 plastic clean up bags."

So Obama was able to stimulate my spending also.

I still remember when every one ran out and bought AR15's at a $1k a pop because Obama was going to take them all away.
Never happened and he's got lots of other things to worry about.
I personally don't think with the economy in the tank we have much to worry about in 2012.
