pretty specific on what you are looking for me, my second gun after my SW M&P 40 was a Kimber Ultra Carry....love both guns. Now looking to get something else....but for my ccw, its the Kimber.
so the wife and i are getting our washington ccw permits here soon. mine's processing now and she is going to be filing for her's in the near distant future. originally i had brought my taurus pt-22 back from colorado for her when she was ready to do a ccw, but after my last outing with it, it left me mildly disappointed with its performance. so i have decided to get rid of it and get something else. she looked on line and talked with a couple friends and decided on a 1911 variant. so today before work i decided to go looking for possible canidates for her and compared a compact 1911 to a beretta m9 and i was supprised to see that the m9 was lighter. so i tried the walther pk380 and fell in love with the way it fit my hand, and she looked at it online and liked it too. but now the problem is .380 isn't the most powerful round in the world and we would like some kind of stopping power. so what kind of pistols are out there that are comparable in size but in 9mm?? i really like the looks and features of the pk380. would anyone recommend the walther ppq or p99 line of pistols? those are the closest that i can find to the pk380 in looks and features, but have no idea on size or ccw canidacy. i like pistols that are relatively thin so a single stack mag is a must. i would like to have something that is about as wide as my norinco 213 for both me and the mrs. all of the other pistols that i handled were either too wide for my liking or didn't have features like the accessory rail or manual safeties, or the grips were too small length wise. any insite is welcome! and thanks for helping a noob

well the thing is i fell in love with the way the pk380 felt in my hand and the asthstetics of it. so something that would handle and look similar in a 9mm is what i am looking to get into. right now i'm considdering the walther p99. i wish walther made the pk380 in 9mm.![]()
get over this "feel" stuff. Its nearly all just in your head. any hand can be trained to like any grip, realistically. dont let such a thing determine what level of protection you have, man! Look at the Keltec 9mm pocket auto. get 2 of them, used, for $500 or so, especially if from private sellers, on GunBroker.com, for instance. practice with one, carry the other, so the wear and fouling don't go on your carry gun.
