I've bought one gun from a pawn shop, most of the best deals I've found have been on several on-line forums. Pawnshops are tricky bests and I've generally not shopped them. Budsgunshop.com usually has some pretty good deals as well.

+1 to Bud's. They've also got a fantastic (albiet stupidly expensive) range, so if you buy there in person, see if you can finagle some free range time into the deal.

Your local range. Our range has bulletin boards and folks post FOR SALE ads all the time. Great way to also buy guns if you like the keep Big Brother in the dark of your habits.
