I am personally not a fan of the "chopped and channeled" 1911. I much prefer a single stack .45ACP with at least a 4" bbl. for CCW. The biggest advantage that I see with the Hawg 9 is of course round count, and perhaps cost, relative to the EMP and others. But if I am going with a 9mm, I would give up some rounds for a lighter, thinner pistol, more suited to that cartridge, and there are a bunch of good ones out there. So IMHO, if you want a small 9mm, skip the 1911 platform. If you really want a little 1911, I'd go with a single stack .45ACP. But hey, that's just me, I have no "bad" information to disclose about the gun. There are plenty of pro and con threads out there in webland so have fun researching and good luck!
