I clean mine after every use, so I keep them pretty dry.

On a semi-auto pistol, I usually clean the barrel with Hoppes #9, spray the disassembled slide and the frame with CLP and brush and wipe all of it off. Then, I put one little teeny drop of Hoppes gun oil on each rail, and call it good.

Yeah, just keep on keeping on...only guns I ever saw that used grease were old WW2 Russian stuff.

Right on! Glad you guys agree. I think I'll use that tube of gun grease on my motorcycle.

I use a bit of PJ1 chain lube on the slide bearing surfaces of Semi-autos. It's not like it's worth a $h!t on actual bike chains. I've got to use it for something more than the garage door. Plain old gun oil on everything else.

I use grease on my slides where the rails are.

Using my hand to jack the slide before I put grease on them and then after using grease - there is a noticeable difference in the friction on the slide.

Since I clean my guns regularly, the grease can only help with wear. IMHO
