If you've shot that Sig P239 for 10 years, then you're very familiar with its controls. It's probably second nature by now. I would stick to something similar or you might find yourself trying to hit a safety that isn't there or something like that. Muscle memory will take over and you'll be working gun x like it was your P239.

If you're hard set on getting a new gun, I'd stil keep the Sig.

I have a Sig P229 with Crimson Trace Laser Grips as my "nightstand " gun




It is a great shooter & you can really get on a target in the dark / semi-dark.

The Beretta PX 4 is an excellent choice too.

Normally a valid point, but it has no external safeties, which makes the Glock a good match, but if I went the PX4 route the safety would remain disengaged. The reason I'm probably going to sell it is I also want to replace my current CCW (Bersa Thunder 380) with a Glock 27 and an LCP for those times the Glock isn't convenient, currently when the 380 isn't convenient I carry nothing, which I don't like. I'm not able to afford purchasing 3 guns without letting the Sig go.
