I believe FNP's are DA/SA.
I've always been a BIG fan of Sigs. Dependable, durable and accurate. I have been shooting a P226 for over 10 years in 40 and 357 sig. I wanted to buy a 45 real bad, and I wanted high capacity and I also wanted to cut some weight off the gun. Some I looked at didn't have the capacity. Some did not have the lighter weight. And some just did not fit in my hand.
After many months of research, I found a video on Youtube talking about a brand of pistols from a company called FN Herstal. It was a video that went far into detail, and really impressed me. So I checked with a buddy of mine who is a dealer, and he said he would order it. Upon recieving it, and upon inspection I new it was a serious firearm. Everything about it spoke quality. And it had all the criteria covered. Capacity, weight and fit. Yes, its a bigger pistol, but most 45s that hold 15rds are.
I took her home, stripped her down and gave her a bath, ending the night with a lube job of M Pro7. The next day I took her out and shot a mix of loads down range. The first thing I noticed was the controlled recoil. It came back on site quicker than some, and felt comfortable in hand. The next thing I noticed was the accuracy. I was very impressed with 7, 15 and 20 yards.
Now I've had the FNP45 for 6-8 months, maybe slightly more. And let me tell you, it just keeps getting better. I'm so impressed by its performance, that when FN releases the FNX in .357 Sig., and I talked to someone in tech at FN who confirmed the design, I'm getting one. Anyone looking for a quality SA thats not your Brand XYand Z, check these out.
